For Civita Street Art Festival (@cvtastreetfest) at Civitacampomarano, Italy.
The mural is dedicated to all the nonnas (grandmothers), anonymous caregivers, tireless workers and excellent cooks. Strong women, with a very important legacy to offer and too often undervalued. Using his kitchen tools as a symbol, I have painted a mural to honor his generosity. While painting the mural, I have been lucky enough to meet nonnas from Civita and add some specific utensils of the Italian cuisine of Civitacampomarano. Near the wall live two nonnas named Maria, who have always welcomed me with a smile, offering coffee, food and conversation. In a world so crazy about new technologies, it makes me envious to see my friends Marias, sitting on their chairs in the street, chatting while they prepare food. They should be declared intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The mural is an ode to them.
